Pennsylvania Soil and Rock provided services to Plum Borough School district for the Pivik Elementary School project starting from the earthwork phase of the development up to and including the construction materials testing for the building construction. The two-story, 74,000 SF state-of-the art building and site construction was completed in 2012. The site presented numerous challenges related to unforeseen subsurface conditions which PS&R provided the district timely and cost effective solutions to keep the project moving forward with minimal impact to the scope and schedule. The construction materials testing for the project included compaction testing, concrete testing, masonry inspection, surface bearing capacity verification, asphalt testing and structural steel inspection.
